I don't really understand much about it, but my pediatrician said she really doesn't recommend taking the vitamins that way if you don't have a reason why you have to. Apparently, certain vitamins can block the absorptions of other vitamins. I can't recall for certain, but I think she said that Vitamin A may block Vitamin D absorption.
